We had our usual traditions: decorating the house and tree together as a family, Christmas devotions, traveling dinner, and festive Christmas dinner. Everything was delicious and fun.
Best of all, everyone was off from school, college, and work. We enjoyed full days together without meetings or very many responsibilities. It was so nice to relax with my children.

It was a picture-perfect morning singing Christmas carols, reading Scripture, and opening presents. I am so grateful for my family. They each love Jesus so much and are so kind to me and one another. I am blessed beyond belief.
The afternoon brought visitors: Brad and Hunter before they flew to Kentucky, the very-pregnant Sarah with hubby, Mike, another Mike, Bruno, and the Nolette clan. We enjoyed being silly, laughing, and squeezing around two tables squished together.
New Year's Eve, the Nolettes, Jeffords, Mike, and Jon headed over again. But, this evening we could barely stay awake. We were missing Marla, who was in New York City, We played Funglish. for quiet awhile. I actually took a nap. However, at 11:30, we put Hillsong's Cornerstone DVD in and worshiped with some of the best worship leaders in the world. It was awesome! We perked right up. We brought the New Year in with communion using Hawaiian bread and sparkling red grape juice.
New Year's Day we rested and relaxed, taking it slow. Now, I am looking back at the past week with tears in my eyes. I am so blessed with my beautiful family and my quirky friends. Thank you, Jesus that another year filled with memories is closing and a new one begins.
To all my dear family and friends, Happy New Year with so, so, so much love.
