Home, Family, & Ministry

My life is centered around my family, home, and local church. I love Jesus with all my heart and am so thankful that my husband and children love Him too. We love to serve the Lord and His people.
Our home is like Grand Central Station. There are always people stopping by, hanging out, dropping something off, or popping in. Sometimes, it is quiet and peaceful, but often our house is loud and chaotic. People are always spending a night or two. Sometimes people move in with us for a few months or years. We love it!
Someone is always telling a joke or funny story so laughter and giggling fill the air. Everyone in my family loves music and singing too, so you can always hearing someone singing or playing. Shine and I are always taking pictures and Shine makes movies too. Jimmy and his daddy love sports, so we are football fans, basketball fans, soccer fans.
Bookshelves line every wall in our house, overflowing with books. We love to read and talk about what we read, as well as politics, current events, business, economics, apologetics, history, Creation, missions, ministry, music, and more. We have strong opinions and sometimes disagree.
Our home is filled with love, affection, and affirmation....and sometimes, conflict so we try to live by the principles found in Matthew 18 to resolve conflict and forgive one another.
Powerline is our local church where my husband is the senior pastor. He is the most godly man I have ever know and I love and respect him with all my heart. Our church is like a big family with everyone share germs, battles, and lives. The people at Powerline are so dear to my heart. Sometimes, I feel guilty--that the Lord gave us the easiest and best people in the whole world to pastor. These people have real problems, though, and many have come out of sinful lifestyles with broken hearts. I so appreciate the way they pursue Jesus and seek to obey Him with all their hearts.
When I share these sessions, I am simply sharing how we live and what we do to honor Christ and make Him known in our home, family, and ministry.
